Nirmaya, Semester 7
Typology: Hospitality
Location: Gokarna, Karnataka
Cities are increasing, causing pollution, lousy health, unproductivity, and an unhappy environment. Humans need a break from this busy life to allow their minds for new learnings. In search of calmness, healing, and meditation, people always look for places far from their homes, and what can be better than a place interlinked with nature?
The proposed site is in Gokarna, an untouched tourist and religious destination filled with local art, culture, and greenery. The proposed design blends vernacular architecture with nature by imparting biophilic and sustainable design to make people aware of a sustainable way of living. It aimed to serve as a place where people can learn, meditate and explore with the help of the local people's existing practices and culture.
